Welcome to tafatefe.com!
We thought that it would be fun to share our musical journeys on a family website - both Aggie and Thea are now learning to play the piano (and Aggie violin too), and us parents are also inspired to learn & practise with them too (somewhat more sporadically!).
We plan to add more videos and recordings as we learn, share some milestones and reflections along the way (blog), feel free to get in touch if you have ideas on how we can make things more interesting here! We hope you enjoy the content, and if so, consider joining us on our new tafatefe.com grove that we run on Trees for Life - a Scottish conservation charity with rewilding projects in the Highlands. About Us
Aggie (Aglaya) is wearing the lovely purple dress. She has been learning the piano using the Suzuki method since she's 4. She now plays the violin too! Aggie loves an avocado and is always hungry.
Thea, the little girl with the stunning green top, is now also a budding pianist - though she has been singing along to Twinkle Twinkle & Aunt Rhody for some time as big sis' captive audience. She is now learning the cello too! Thea loves a cuddle and is always cheeky.
Helen, the beautiful lady with the giant trousers, is the Suzuki parent for Aggie and Thea. She has been (re)learning the piano along with Aggie and is almost keeping up into book 2! Should have been baking for a living (rather than work at an office) according to Thea.
Brian, the tall guy with crazy hair in tight shorts (that he definitely DOES NOT own), used to play Chopin and Beethoven a lot. Nowadays he mostly plays Susan Boyle or Frozen, badly. He also has an old dusty double bass. He sits and drinks coffee for a living and is colour-blind.
